There are many coffee shops along White Mountain Highway that pass through North Conway. Grab a coffee, a muffin, and a smoothie, if you’re on the go; or enjoy a more leisurely morning with coffee at a local diner or cafe. Places like Priscilla’s Country Kitchen, located right in North Conway, offer country charm and a breakfast menu with all of the fixings. Freshly squeezed orange juice, free flowing coffee, and cooked to order breakfast and lunch are the shining stars of Priscilla’s. Opened by two longtime locals, Ken and Carol Donabedian, you’ll be greeted by a friendly smile and welcoming spirit as soon as you enter through their doors.

Of course even after a great breakfast in North Conway, NH at a place like Priscilla’s; you’ll still want to grab yourself a coffee and sandwich to-go in prep for your day out on the trails from The Met, a coffee shop and cafe with two locations in North Conway. One in North Conway Village, and one in Settlers' Green. Both offer breakfast and lunch options, as well as a range of coffee drinks. Or pick-up an iconic Kweenie - a mix between a croissant and pastry with all the butter you can imagine - from Big Dave’s Bagels and Deli or pick-up an original smoothie creation from The Local Grocer's Table & Tonic Cafe - a local market and cafe dedicated to locally sourced produce and sustainable grocery items.

One thing the Mt. Washington Valley is known for, is a band of twenty-plus restaurants called The Valley Originals. It’s a group of locally owned and operated restaurants that have joined together to share their thoughts and ideas on what the true experience of local eatery should be like. Each restaurant is independently owned, and is unique in its ambiance, recipes, and service. Food is prepared fresh daily, often from local products, and the owner is on the premises to respond to your dining needs and wishes. When you support a Valley Original restaurant, you also help to support local organizations, charities, and activities, as The Valley Originals have donated over $300,000.00 to the Mt. Washington Valley as part of its mission to support each restaurant’s community.

Through The Valley Originals you’ll find outdoor dining, fine dining; casual pub fare; Indian, Italian, and Irish cuisine; steakhouses; oysters, and more. One option is Chef’s Bistro, located right in North Conway Village. A great option for groups, families and couples, Chef’s Bistro is owned by a local couple, who grew up in the valley. Look for the designated yellow flag outside each Valley Original, and you’ll know you’re in the right spot!

Both avid skiers, they wanted to create a space for people to come and enjoy locally sourced food in a warm atmosphere, that also gave guests a hint of a more urban atmosphere. Chef’s Bistro’s menu is definitely unique, and offers a spread from appetizers, to sandwiches to entrees. Stop in for an ice cold grapefruit infused cosmopolitan made by owner, Josh himself, and pair it with some quick appetizers like its charcuterie platter and oysters. Or take in a meal from its small patio, and people watch on Main Street in North Conway, while you enjoy a full lunch or dinner spread!

Settlers Green is constantly hosting family friendly events, and activities. In summer alone guests can enjoy the regularly schedule Pups and Pints events which includes live music, beer tastings, and free dog treats. Yoga at Settlers’ Green’s community labyrinth takes place every Wednesday, and throughout the summer tent sales take place throughout the outlet village.
