Farm to Table Weekend

Experience a true farm to table weekend at Riverbend Inn. Our local museum, the Remick, is also a working farm with pigs, goats, sheep, cows, oxen, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, plus heirloom vegetables and herbs. Once a month during summer and fall, the Remick opens its doors on Friday evening for a delightful Farmhouse Kitchen Country Dinner. Everything served is grown on the farm or sourced locally. Come for the weekend and on Friday evening, savor a home-cooked, sit down dinner featuring classic New England fare. One recent dinner started with a salad of freshly picked greens, asparagus, slices of hard boiled eggs, sprinkled with bacon and herbed vinaigrette; homemade thyme biscuits, chicken stew with vegetables, and lemon pound cake topped with fresh strawberries and ginger whipped cream—all sourced from their vegetables, chickens and pigs. Dinners are Friday night at 7:00. After dinner, you can take a leisurely walk along the Binstock Trail, passing farm animals, wild birds and a pond. Or cross the street and walk along the Swift River Trail.

We’ll give you a pass to the museum so you can return on Saturday to hang out with the animals, fish in the pond, or visit the 1808 Captain Enoch Remick House, home to Dr. Remick's office and pharmacy, an antique toy collection and 19^th century wall murals.

Advance reservations are required. Package for two is $325 and includes two nights lodging in a deluxe room with king or queen bed and private bath, full breakfasts featuring vegetables and herbs from our kitchen garden, locally sourced maple syrup, eggs and honey, dinner for two (tax and tip included and BYOB), plus admittance to the Remick museum on Saturday.
