1. Shopping Events!

Join the shops in Mt. Washington Valley for not only tax-free shopping, but turn it into an all-day affair by adding an event to your vacation line-up. Shops in Mt. Washington Valley are always finding new ways to entertain their guests.

On Monday, May 29, pull into Settlers Green for Cruise Car Night and enjoy the line-up of suped-up muscle cars and historic cars from the past.

On May 12 and 13, Spruce Hurricane is hosting its annual Artie Yellowhorse Jewelry Trunk Show. Navajo artist, Artie Yellowhorse, handmakes sterling silver jewelry with precious stones and gems, and travels the country bringing her artwork from store to store.

On May 13 and 14, Jackson Art Studio and Gallery is hosting an art show that features over twenty local and regional artists!

2. Turn It Into an Art Walk!

Turn a day of shopping into your very own art walk by making stops at the antique shops, boutiques and art galleries found throughout Mt. Washington Valley.

Start at Settlers Green in North Conway, which has a public art walk featuring paintings, sculptures, and statues from 13 local and national artists.

While you’re there, be sure to make a stop at the newest piece of art - "Self-Reflection" - JUST unveiled on Settlers Green's campus. The artwork was created by Michael Alfano, a world-renowned artist. When you get to his piece, look for the two inner faces that make up the single large face in Self Reflection, and the color red was chosen for this piece as a nod to the red accents found in the Streetside and Market Basket façade.

3. Pair It With Relaxation!

When you make your way through Mt. Washington Valley, stopping at each of the shops in North Conway, Jackson, Bartlett, and beyond, pair your excursion with a spa session.

While you’re shopping in North Conway, stop at The Root Cellar. A salon and boutique that’s part of the White Mountain Independents, discover selections of jewelry, accessories, high-quality hair styling products—AND you can book a manicure, blow-out, or haircut at the same time.

Pleasant Image Salon is located in a nook surrounded by The Met coffee shop and Jewelry by Tim and Friends, so grab a coffee, a blow-out, and shop for a handcrafted piece of jewelry!

If you find yourself in Jackson stopping at Ravenwood Curio Shoppe is a must for its architecture alone. Tucked away in the ethereal cabin, peruse through unique home decor and art. Right up the road, Debony Salon can schedule you for a spa pedicure or facial in its full-service salon and spa facility.

Make your appointment and shop while you wait at locally owned boutiques such as Ravenwood or White Mountain Puzzles.

Mountain Kula Yoga in North Conway  resides within The Local Grocer. Shop for all-natural, high-quality products from clothing to decor and then make your way into the granite-lined structure for a range of yoga classes that fit your preference.

4. Bring The Pet!

Why would you ever consider leaving your pet at home when there is an entire store dedicated to pets? Four Your Paws Only is a premier, locally owned pet store with a pet bakery, doggie playroom, gift and supply store, and more.

After you and your furry pal are done perusing the aisles of this one-of-a-kind shop, walk the trails of Whitaker Woods in North Conway! You can always use those freshly baked homemade biscuits you just bought for a post-trail snack!.

5. Shop and Eat!

While you won’t find human-friendly food at Four Your Paws Only, you can always reward yourself with a stop at White Mountain Winery for taste of New Hampshire-made wine, Bavarian Chocolate Haus for hand-dipped chocolates made fresh everyday, or North Conway Olive Oil for high-quality, locally made infused olive oils that make perfect holiday gifts.
