2012 Winter and Spring Events

A Walk through the Grades -
The first Tuesday of each month from 8:00am to 9:30am

Dates: 01/03,  02/07,   03/06,  04/03,  05/01, 06/05

Experience first-hand what a Waldorf education looks like; see the progression of learning and the curriculum as the students mature.  The group will be led through a school tour getting a glimpse of the main lesson in each of the classes.  In order to gain a true understanding of the rich academic curriculum, one must experience each grade level. This is the best opportunity to see Waldorf education and how it educates the whole child; academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually!

Puppet Shows-

February 11 at the Conway Library from 11am to 11:30am

At the White Mountain Waldorf School, nature stories and fairy tales are told in the early childhood or presented through puppet shows to foster creativity in the children’s imaginative play.

Open Houses-
(from 10:00am -1pm)

Dates:01/21, 03/24, 06/02

Bring children to experience play in the classrooms and explore the playgrounds.  The Open House includes a general discussion of Waldorf education, a tour of the school’s classrooms and campus, an opportunity to ask questions and a chance to meet many of the school’s class and specialty teachers.  Although classrooms are not in session during the Open House, teachers will display Main Lesson books and artwork of their students. 

Annual Auction-

April 27th at Flatbread Restaurant

The Development Committee would like to invite the school and greater community to celebrate in the joy of having Waldorf education as a choice in the valley.  This will be a fund raising event with the hopes of stimulate the giving spirit in the shared vision of the school.

May Faire –

May 12 from 10am to 2pm-White Mountain Waldorf School

It’s a day of family fun at the White Mountain Waldorf School. The May Faire Celebration, hosted by the White Mountain Waldorf School, is free and open to the public and will feature traditional May Pole dancing, live music,  lunch, a HUGE plant sale, free children’s crafts, local artisans and more. RAIN OR SHINE.

For more than 25 years the White Mountain Waldorf School has been offering an excellent choice in education to families in and around the Mt. Washington Valley. Waldorf is one of the fastest growing independent, non-sectarian, educational movements worldwide. Our mission at the White Mountain Waldorf School is to instill creativity and a desire for learning, cultivates social responsibility and personal integrity, and supports the home and greater community.

We currently have elementary school openings, grades 1-8 and the first 8th grade class graduated in the spring of 2010. We also have openings in our early childhood programs in which we offer: Parent/Infant program, Parent/Child Program, Toddler Program, Nursery Program, Kindergarten, Parent-Education Series and Afternoon Care.
