Special Events:

Art in the Park returns to Schouler Park in North Conway on Saturday, July 21, 2012.  This juried member show is open to artists working in a variety of mediums including painting, photography, glass, ceramics, sculpture and fine crafts.  Historic art will be featured, and there will be a children's tent, food vendors and music.  Please join us!

 

 

June 2012:  Cindy Spencer - Artist of the Month.  Opening reception on Friday, June 1st, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

July/August 2012:  Exhibit:  "Journeys - Images from Near and Far"  Opening reception on Saturday, July 7th, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

     

Classes/Workshops:

Friday Painters Open Studio          
Mid October to Mid May                          9am-12:30pm

Join this drop-in group of artists of all abilities and a wide range of mediums, for an informal working session.   This is a great way to meet other artists and work on your art. It's all about the camaraderie.  At the end of the session, attendees are free to participate in a short critique.

Friday Painters Plein Air              
Mid May to Mid October                            9am-12:30pm

Friday Painters meet at various outdoor locations throughout Mt. Washington Valley.  If raining, painters meet at the MWV Visual Arts Center.  Members Free; Non-Members please make a small donation.

General Information:

The Mount Washington Valley Arts Association is an independent, community focused, non-profit organization which exists to promote the study,appreciation and display of the visual arts, particularly the art of the Mt. Washington Valley Region.

  

 

 

Directions:

The MWV Visual Arts Center is downstairs in Norcross Place.  Go in the double red doors to the left of the Nancy's Alterations & Yarn Shop  and down the stairs. 

Hours:  Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm
