General Information: Our Mission at the Bearcamp Valley School and Children’s Center is to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children; to seek a balance in addressing each child as a unique social, emotional, intellectual, and physical person; to empower children to be responsible, caring, creative, hardworking, and playful contributors to their community; and to support and work in partnership with the children’s families, both to respond to their needs and to offer participation in the center’s daily life. Bearcamp Valley School and Children’s Center is a private, non-profit educational and childcare facility which does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion or ethnic origin. Funding is available for income-eligible parents who work, are seeking work or attending school. Our food and nutrition program, supported in part by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, serves breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon nutritious snacks. * PRESCHOOL, KINDERGARTEN, AND CHILDCARE Preschool is offered for two, three and four year olds daily from 8:30 TO 12:30 p.m. Our kindergarten is available to parents needing kindergarten and childcare. This program encompasses team teaching, integrated curriculum and passionate teachers.     * CHILDCARE is available year-round from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for children ages 2-13 years old. Preschool Children with SPECIAL NEEDS  are invited. We also work with surrounding school districts with school-age children when appropriate. Before and AfterSchools are available year round. * EDUCATIONAL CONSULTING The center consults with other schools on such topics as: multi-aging, integrating the Math Their Way philosophy, Conflict Resolution, Teaching Outdoor School and more.  * SUMMER PROGRAMS These programs include enhanced childcare programs featuring “Close to the Earth” activities, respect for nature and for native cultures.
