The choral group, Da Capo, was formed in 2008 by Susan Brinker and Judy Herrick to sing music that entertains and engages the audience. By focusing on more popular styles, Da Capo has added to the diversity of musical genres offered in the Mt. Washington Valley area. Singers in the group come from all over Mt. Washington Valley and western Maine, have diverse backgrounds and represent a wide range of ages. What they have in common is a love of singing and enthusiasm for the music they perform. Selections for their concerts include hits from artists popular in recent decades, as well as favorites from Broadway musicals. Audiences at Da Capo concerts often feel the urge to move or dance or otherwise join in the energy and enthusiasm of the music.

Presently the group is directed by conductor Mary Bastoni and accompanist Judy Herrick. Bastoni has a broad background with degrees in vocal performance, and performance credits in opera and musical theatre. She runs musical theatre workshops, directs musicals and serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Maine, School of Music and has a full voice studio. Herrick is a native of Texas where she earned degrees in fine arts. She is an accompanist extraordinaire, is Minister of Music for the Jackson Community Church and teaches piano lessons in her home studio.
