Salomon Fall Trail Running SeriesSeptember 6, 13, 20, 27 A weekly trail running race series for all abilities and ages. Muster in the MountainsSeptember 7, 8, 9 This weekend long event is a colonial encampment of reenactors representing various individuals of the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, and Mountain Man periods from 1750 through 1840. This gathering will take place in the Fields of the Mount Washington Auto Road in beautiful Pinkham Notch of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. MWV World Championship High Performance Tricycle Grand Prix RaceSeptember 22 MWV World Championship High Performance Tricycle Grand Prix Race! Co-sponsored by The Red Parka Steakhouse and Pub and The Valley Originals, this event promises to be another one of those fun Valley events that spectators will enjoy as much as participants. Racers will pedal down a course on steel tricycles similar to the "Big Wheels" of years gone by. The "Grand Prix" format allows 4 trikes on course at a time. The Red Jersey Cyclery will provide on-site tech support as the official High Performance Tricycle mechanics. Compete as an individual or in a team. Costumes are encouraged and add to the frivolity! Bikes will be provided and helmets are required. Registration opens at 12:00 noon on September 22; race time is 1pm with awards ceremony following. The cost is $15 per racer or $50 for a team of 4. Proceeds for the event will benefit the Dewey Mark/Red Parka Scholarship Fund. Fryeburg FairSeptember 30 Maine's Blue Ribbon Classic! The largest agriculture fair in Maine! Eight days of entertainment and education for the whole family. A variety of livestock, draft show horses and ponies, pulling horses and oxen, a forestry research center, an agricultural exhibition center, crafts, a flower show, educational exhibitions and demonstrations, sheep dog trials and a huge parade on Saturday.
