Join a naturalist from Tin Mountain Conservation Center to explore and understand the incredible natural features at Wildcat Mountain and its surrounding environment. Program topics rotate weekly and include the ecology of our stocked fishing pond, our alpine ecology, the geology of the White Mountains and the exploration of Thompson Brook Falls. Programs are free* to attend and ideal for families. (*High alpine programs require gondola ticket purchase.)

Attitash BlueberryFEST

It’s true, Attitash means “blueberry” in the Abenaki language, and what better time of the year than August when wild blueberries are in full bloom to celebrate summer at Attitash Mountain Resort. Join us at Bear Peak for a family-friendly festival of good ‘ol fashioned American fun, with field games, live music, BBQ food, craft and beer vendors and, of course, a blueberry pie-eating contest.

Birthday Celebration

Summer Story Time at the North Conway Library

Lounge and Listen on the Lawn

 

The North Conway Library offers story time for children on Tuesday afternoons at 2:00 p.m from July 10th until August 7th. The story time is geared toward children age 3-5 with siblings welcome.

The story time will be held outside on the library lawn in the backyard behind the granite building, so bring your blankets. On rainy days they will take place inside.  

No registration is necessary for the story times. They are free and open to residents and visitors alike.

Great Glen Trails Summer Mountain Bike Series

A weekly mountain bike race series for all abilities and ages. Every Tuesday for eight weeks racers can bike the long, short or mini courses between 3:30 and 7:00 p.m. Awards for top three in each category. Prizes for competitors who complete 5 out of 8 weeks are based on a raffle at the end of series awards party.

The Pops Concert begins at 7:00 PM A 'warm up' performance begins at 6 PM

This concert is the area's most popular outdoor concert and has been enjoyed by a diverse audience of kids to great-grandparents since 1983.

In addition to familiar classics, the audience will find lots of opportunities to sing along with many pops favorites. This is the concert that is traditionally ended with the 1812 Overture, Stars and Stripes and awesome Fireworks!

Introducing the New England Wind Symphony presenting their traditional Symphony Pops concert followed by spectacular fireworks enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

AMC Monthly Guided Summit Tour & Hike at Wildcat Mountain

Sunrise Drive


August 26

The Mt. Washington Auto Road will open early on three Sundays in 2012, on June 24, July 29 and  August 26, allowing guests to drive themselves to the summit of Mt. Washington to view the sunrise from the highest peak in the Northeast. On June 24, the Auto Road will open at 3:30 AM, on July 29 at 4:00 am and at 4:30 AM on August 26, which will allow guests to arrive early enough to watch the sun come up over the Atlantic Ocean. Regular Drive Yourself rates and Vehicle Restrictions apply. The Mt. Washington Auto Road recommends not waiting until the last minute to arrive as you may spend a few additional minutes at the Toll House due to traffic.
