Gallery Opening Reception at Fryeburg Academy’s Pace Galleries of Art: Apple of My EyeSeptember 15 Saturday, 9/15/12: Pace Gallery Opening Reception- View the “a peeling” new exhibit featured at Fryeburg Academy’s Palmina S. and Stephen F. Pace Galleries of Art entitled Apple of My Eye. The galleries are located at 18 Bradley Street on the Campus of Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, ME. The exhibit will be on display from Saturday, September 15th through Friday, December 21, 2012. Come hear guest curator Sam Robbins share his insights and knowledge about this superb exhibit at the free opening reception of Apple of My Eye on Saturday, September 15th from 2-4pm. The Pace Galleries are free and open to the public, Monday through Friday, 9:00-1 p.m. The gallery is also open during most performances in the Leura Hill Eastman PAC or by appointment. Australian Singer-Songwriter Joe Robinson in ConcertSeptember 22 Joe Robinson Concert! 7:30 PM at Fryeburg Academy's Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center If the chipper twenty-year-old from Temagog, Australia were two or three times his age, his sheer six-string ability and compositional insight, which have already earned Robinson a world-wide following, would be no less astonishing. He won the Australian National Songwriting Competition at the age of 13! Then went on to win TV's Australia’s Got Talent at 16! Now he is touring the world with his band impressing audience wherever he goes. He are thrilled to bring him to Fryeburg. His music is a fresh mix of rock, blues, pop and even jazz....it is all his own and we know you will love it!

Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers Presents: Everybody Loves PiratesSeptember 29 Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers Presents: Everybody Loves Pirates 2:00 PM and 7PM at Fryeburg Academy's Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center Tickets: $8-Adults and $4-Students, under 2 free The delightful Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers returns with "Everybody Loves Pirates," the story of a young girl named Lucy and her goofy friend, Little Chucky. While fishing one day, the kids discover a treasure map and decide to set out on a quest to find their fortune. Unfortunately, they run into a group of bumbling pirates who try to thwart their efforts by stealing the treasure. Of course, it all works out in the end with some help from Chucky and Lucy's new ocean-dwelling friends, including Lobster Boy, Crabby and a wise Sea Monkey. A wonderful show for the young and the young at heart! They will have two performances today at 2:00 and 7:00 pm.
