19th Century White Mountain Art Exhibit and Sale

Celebrate the opening of "The Museum of White Mountain Art at Jackson" AND the 10th annual White Mountain Art Sale of 19th century and contemporary landscapes at the Jackson Historical Society's home in the old Town Hall in Jackson.

To commemorate the opening of the museum, there will be an inaugural exhibit, "On the Road to Jackson, a Journey through the White Mountains of New Hampshire." Exquisite 19th century paintings will be on loan from private collectors. The exhibit will run through January 6th, 2013.

There will be a gala reception Friday, 6:00 - 9:00, $75.00/person, during which a ribbon will be cut to open the museum. Space is very limited. To reserve places, call 603-383-4060.

The 10th annual art sale will feature 19th century paintings by artists of the White Mountain School of Art consigned by private collectors. There will also be contemporary landscapes by selected, juried artists. The catalogue of the sale will be posted at www.jacksonhistory.org.

The sale and exhibit are open free of charge on Saturday 10:00 - 5:00 and Sunday 10:00 - 2:00, in the historic Town Hall, 23 Black Mountain Road, Jackson, NH.
