In this 2-part program, Erika Rowland of USVLT, Nick Fisichelli of the Schoodic Institute, and forester Dan Stepanauskus, will discuss how certain conservation easements contribute to climate resilience and what role climate change adaptation may play in the future management of this and other conservation lands. The evening program will be followed by an exploration of one of USVLT conservation easements. Participants do not to need to attend both program, but are encouraged to!

MSMT Presents: I Love A Piano

Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center

Maine State Music Theatre presents "I Love A Piano" at 7:30 pm at the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center. "I Love A Piano" is the celebration of the music and lyrics of Irving Berlin. It follows the journey of a piano as it moves in and out of American lives from the turn of the century to the present. Along the way, the story comes to vibrant life with over sixty of Irving Berlin's most beloved songs, including classics such as 'Blue Skies,' 'There's No Business Like Show Business,' 'Puttin' on the Ritz,' 'Cheek to Cheek,' 'Anything You Can Do,'  and, of course, 'I Love a Piano.' Alternately heartbreaking and hilarious, rousing and reflective, "I Love A Piano" is a fitting tribute to the man Jerome Kern famously said had 'no place in American music - he is American music.'

$35-Standard, $55-Premium (includes access to a pre-show reception). Order online at www.fryeburgacademy.org/pac, or call the box office at 207-935-9232. Located at 18 Bradley St. in Fryeburg, Maine.

Sunrise Drive

Mt. Washington Auto Road

Sundays - June 24, July 29 & August 26, 2018
The Mt. Washington Auto Road opens early on three Sundays every summer, allowing guests to drive themselves to the summit of Mount Washington to view the sunrise from the highest peak in the Northeast.
Due to the popularity of these sunrise opportunities, we recommend not waiting until the last minute to arrive as you may spend time waiting at the Toll House due to traffic.

The State Park building on the summit will be open with limited food service on all three of these mornings.
